About our privacy policy

Remodius places great value on your privacy. We only process the data we need to improve our services and handle the information about you and your use of our services with care. We never make your data available to third parties for commercial purposes.

This privacy policy applies to the use of the website and the services offered by Remodius. The effective date of these terms is 30 January 2025. By publishing a new version, the validity of all earlier versions is revoked. This privacy policy describes which data we collect about you, how this data is used, with whom and under which conditions it may be shared with third parties, and how we protect your data against misuse. It also describes your rights regarding the personal data you provide to us.

Below you can read how we process your data, where it is stored, which security measures have been taken and who has access to the data.

Web shop software

Shopify

Our web shop is developed with Shopify software. Personal data that you provide for our services is shared with this party. Shopify has access to your data in order to provide us with (technical) support, but will never use your data for other purposes. Under our agreement, Shopify is obliged to take appropriate security measures, including SSL encryption and a strong password policy. Shopify is certified to process credit card data. Shopify uses cookies to collect technical information about your software use, without collecting or storing personal data. Shopify reserves the right to share collected data within its group of companies in order to improve its services. Data may be processed in the United States under the EU/US Privacy Shield.

Web hosting

Squarespace

We use Squarespace for web hosting and email services. Squarespace processes personal data on our behalf, but does not use your data for its own purposes. Squarespace collects metadata about the use of the service, but this is not personal data. Squarespace has taken appropriate measures to prevent data loss and unauthorised use of your personal data.

Email and mailing lists

Klaviyo

Our website uses Klaviyo to process email traffic and newsletters. All confirmation emails and forms from our website are sent via Klaviyo's servers. Klaviyo does not use your data for its own purposes. Every automated email from our website contains a link to unsubscribe. If you click on it, you will no longer receive emails from our website, which may limit its functionality. Your personal data is stored securely by Klaviyo. Klaviyo uses cookies and other internet technologies to check whether emails are opened and read. Klaviyo reserves the right to use your data to improve its services and to share anonymised data with third parties.

Gmail

We use Gmail for our regular business email communication. Gmail has taken measures to prevent misuse, loss or damage of your data. Gmail does not have access to our mailbox and we treat all email communication confidentially.

Payment processors

Shopify Payments

We use Shopify Payments to process payments in our web shop. Shopify Payments processes your name, address and payment details, such as your bank or credit card information. Shopify Payments has taken measures to protect your personal data and reserves the right to share anonymised data in order to improve its services. If you request deferred payment, Shopify Payments shares relevant personal and financial data with credit rating agencies. All the protection measures for personal data mentioned here also apply to the services Shopify Payments uses. Shopify Payments complies with the statutory retention periods for your data.

Reviews

WebwinkelKeur

We collect reviews via WebwinkelKeur. When you leave a review, you must provide your name and email address. WebwinkelKeur shares this information with us in order to link the review to your order. Occasionally, WebwinkelKeur may contact you to clarify your review. We may share your name and email address with WebwinkelKeur in order to invite you to leave a review. WebwinkelKeur takes appropriate measures to protect your data and may, with our consent, engage third parties for services.

Shipping and logistics

PostNL

When you place an order, we share your name, address and place of residence with PostNL for delivery purposes. PostNL uses this data solely to perform the agreement. If PostNL uses subcontractors, your data may also be shared with these parties.

DHL

For deliveries we use the services of DHL. Your name, address and place of residence are shared with DHL to process deliveries. DHL uses this data solely to perform the agreement and may share it with subcontractors if necessary.

Accounting and administration

Yuki

We use Yuki for our accounting and administration. Your name, address and order details are shared with Yuki for invoicing purposes. Yuki ensures secure storage and is bound by confidentiality obligations. Yuki does not use your data for purposes other than accounting.

External sales channels

Amazon, MediaMarkt and Bol.com

We sell some products via the Amazon, MediaMarkt and Bol.com platforms. When you order through these platforms, they share your order and personal data with us. We use this data to process your order and to ensure secure handling.

Purpose of data processing

We use your data solely to provide our services. Data is never shared with third parties unless legally required. Data automatically collected by our website (e.g. IP address, browser) is used to improve our services.

Retention periods

We retain your data for as long as you are a customer or until you request its deletion. Statutory retention periods (e.g. for invoices) are respected.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, restrict or transfer your data. You can submit requests for this to our privacy officer. If necessary, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

We use cookies to improve the website experience and to monitor its use. Google Analytics is used to track visitors, and some third-party services may also use cookies.
