Connecting: how the portable monitor works with MacBook, Windows, Switch and phone
MacBook & iPad
Any MacBook with USB-C (2016 and newer) sends image and power through one cable. Plug and play: macOS instantly recognises the monitor as a second display. iPads with USB-C work straight away too, no adapter needed.
Windows laptop
If your laptop has USB-C with DisplayPort Alt Mode (virtually every business laptop since 2018), one cable is enough. Older laptop without video over USB-C? Use the included Mini-HDMI cable plus a USB port for power.
Nintendo Switch, PS5 & Xbox
Mini-HDMI connects any console. The Nintendo Switch even works directly over USB-C, no dock required. A proper screen for an evening of film or play in a hotel room, on the Pro even in fluid 120Hz.
Phone & tablet
Samsung phones with DeX and many Android devices with USB-C video-out turn the monitor into a desktop. Useful as a presentation screen at a client's, or as a second screen for travel content. Your phone is the computer, the SOTSU is the display.
Ergonomics: your extra screen above your laptop, at eye level
A typical portable display sits next to your laptop, at table height. So you spend all day looking down. The FlipAction hinge works differently. The second screen clicks magnetically behind your laptop display and rotates 180 degrees upwards, above your laptop. Your top screen sits at eye level, exactly where ergonomists want your main display.
You notice the difference at the end of the working day. Straight neck, relaxed shoulders, and a workspace no wider than your laptop. Ideal for hot desks, train trays and anywhere a second screen next to your laptop simply does not fit.

2560×1600 pixels on 16 inches means grain-free text and spreadsheets without scrolling. The 120Hz refresh rate makes scrolling and window-dragging noticeably smoother than the 60Hz of a standard portable monitor. Easier on the eyes, even on long working days.
930 grams, 6 mm: a portable screen without compromise
The CNC-machined aluminium frame is thinner than most smartphones and weighs less than a litre of water. In the included sleeve you take the portable screen anywhere. The difference in your bag is smaller than an extra notebook.

Levert je apparaat weinig stroom, zoals een telefoon of Switch, dan sluit je via de tweede USB-C-poort met Power-Passthrough gewoon een lader aan.
