Looking for a portable monitor, and you'll quickly run into Arzopa: the brand shows up in almost every "best portable monitor" list. But is it the right choice for you? In this honest review we break down the strengths and the things to watch out for, and show why a portable monitor from Remodius is a smarter alternative for many buyers.
Why Arzopa is so popular
Arzopa has quickly worked its way up to become one of the best-known names in portable monitors. The brand gets a few things right:
- Sharp pricing. Arzopa targets the budget segment, which makes it one of the cheapest options around.
- Plenty of choice. From the entry-level A1 to the Z1FC (144Hz) and the Z3FC (180Hz, QHD).
- Gaming refresh rates. With 144Hz and even 180Hz, Arzopa clearly has gamers in its sights.
- Light and compact. Most models weigh in around 600 to 700 grams.
What to watch out for
Arzopa is a solid brand for the right buyer, but there are a few points worth weighing, especially if you're ordering it to the Netherlands:
- Warranty and returns. With international brands, warranty and returns usually go through an address abroad. Sending a return overseas takes more time and hassle than sending it to a local warehouse.
- Local-language service. Support typically runs in English and isn't always fast.
- Differences between models. The entry-level model is genuinely basic; the better screens can quickly cost as much as a premium alternative.
The best alternative to Arzopa: Remodius
Want the same plug-and-play portable monitor, but with local peace of mind? Then the Remodius Portable Monitor 16 inch + Sleeve is the alternative we recommend:
- A larger 16-inch Full HD screen with a single USB-C cable: no separate power supply needed, just plug in and go.
- Protective sleeve included, so your screen stays scratch-free in your backpack.
- A local brand based in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, with a 2-year warranty, 30-day returns, and shipping from our own warehouse in the Netherlands.
- Personal, responsive support.
Are you a gamer chasing Arzopa's 144Hz instead? Then take a look at the SOTSU FlipAction Pro 16 inch with 120Hz, or for the sharpest picture, the SOTSU FlipAction Elite 16 inch in 4K.
