Which type of plug do you need in Cameroon?

Cameroon, with its strong French heritage, uses type C and the French type E sockets. Type E has two round pins and a round earth pin that protrudes from the socket; this is the standard socket in former French colonies in Africa. The mains voltage of 220V at 50Hz is the same as in the Netherlands. Neighbouring countries Nigeria and Congo partly use other types, so always check your destination in advance.
