Which power sockets do they use in the Philippines?

In the Philippines, mainly type A and B sockets are used. The mains voltage is 220 V and the frequency is 60 Hz.

Do you need a travel adapter in the Philippines?

Yes. Dutch type C and F plugs do not fit into type A or B sockets. So you need a travel adapter to charge your devices.

Do you need a voltage converter?

Usually not. The mains voltage is 220 V, which is close to the 230 V in the Netherlands. At 60 Hz the frequency is slightly different from home, but most modern devices and chargers handle this just fine. To be safe, check the label on your device. If it says “INPUT: 100–240V, 50/60Hz”, you can use it without any problems.

Still handy to have a universal travel adapter

For the Philippines a universal travel adapter is essential. If you go straight for a good universal adapter, you'll also be prepared for other long-haul trips. With a Remodius universal travel adapter you can get by in many more countries and have one reliable solution for all your devices.
