Do you need a travel plug in Europe?

In many European countries, Dutch plugs (type C and F) fit directly into the socket. But not everywhere. Some popular destinations use different sockets, making a travel adapter necessary.

Heb ik een reisstekker nodig in Europa?

Meestal niet als je uit Nederland komt. In veel Europese landen worden dezelfde stekkers gebruikt als in Nederland. Er zijn echter uitzonderingen, zoals het Verenigd Koninkrijk, Ierland, Zwitserland en Malta, waar andere stekkertypes worden gebruikt.

Welke stekkers en stopcontacten worden in Europa gebruikt?

In de meeste Europese landen worden type C en type F gebruikt. Dit zijn dezelfde stekkers als in Nederland. In sommige landen komen afwijkende types voor, zoals type G in het Verenigd Koninkrijk en type J in Zwitserland.

Heb ik een spanningsomvormer nodig in Europa?

Nee. De netspanning in vrijwel heel Europa is 230 volt en 50 Hz, gelijk aan Nederland. Je hebt daarom geen spanningsomvormer nodig voor Europese apparaten.
