Which type of plug do you need in Israel?

Israel has a unique socket type: type H, with three pins in a Y-shape. This type was developed specifically for Israel and occurs almost nowhere else in the world. Many more modern sockets in hotels and offices are also suitable for type C, the standard European socket. The mains voltage of 230V is comparable to the Netherlands, so a voltage converter is not needed.

Charging safely in Israel

In Israel the power quality is generally excellent. The grid is modern and well maintained, also outside the large cities such as Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. Still, it is wise to bring a universal travel adapter, because type F (the standard Schuko plug of Dutch devices) does not fit into the Israeli type H socket.
